On January 15, 2025, the “Bizness24h 2025” competition, organized by the BA School of Business and Finance and its Student Union, brought together 687 young people from various Latvian cities, including Riga, Jelgava, Daugavpils, and Valmiera. Participants joined both in-person and remotely to tackle a case study prepared by ACE Logistics Latvia, focusing on opportunities in the food transportation market and the development of the company’s position.
ACE Logistics Latvia’s role in the competition
As the main supporter, ACE Logistics Latvia provided participants with a real business challenge, allowing young people to immerse themselves in the business environment and develop practical skills. CEO Kārlis Kasparāns encouraged participants to persevere despite any obstacles they might encounter during the task. Together with the support team from ACE Logistics Latvia, participants received consultations throughout the task, offering both answers to questions and advice.
Case Study: Opportunities in the Food Transport Market
Within the competition, participants were tasked with developing a presentation on the opportunities in the food transport market and the development of ACE Logistics Latvia’s position. This required them to find and analyze up-to-date data on Latvia’s food imports and exports to identify the largest markets and food groups, as well as potential companies that could become clients for food transportation. This task provided participants with practical experience in market analysis, logistics optimization, and strategic planning.
